Meet Michael

Michael is a recreational powerlifter who found his calling at the flat bench. What started as a simple gym membership turned into a full-blown obsession with pressing heavier and heavier loads.

He trains 4 times a week following a push/pull/legs split with extra bench sessions squeezed in whenever possible. His goal: hit a 160 kg bench press within the next year.

Outside the gym, Michael is a regular human being — coffee, good food, and way too many YouTube videos about powerlifting technique.

Why the Bench Press?

A simple question with a simple answer.

🎯

Clear Metric

You either lift the weight or you don't. No subjectivity — the bar goes up or stays down. Michael loves that clarity.

📈

Measurable Progress

Every kilogram added to the bar is a win you can point to. Watching the numbers climb over months is deeply satisfying.

🔥

Pure Intensity

A heavy bench set demands total focus. The moment of unracking a near-max load is unlike anything else in the gym.

🤝

Gym Culture

The bench is the social hub of every gym. Spotters, hype, shared PRs — it builds community like no other lift.
